• হেয়ার মাস্ক ব্যবহারের আগে চুল হালকা শ্যাম্পু দিয়ে ধুয়ে পরিষ্কার করে নিন। চুল ভিজে ও পরিষ্কার থাকলে মাস্ক ভালোভাবে কাজ করে।
• অতিরিক্ত পানি ঝরিয়ে চুল হালকা ভেজা অবস্থায় রাখুন। খুব ভিজে থাকলে মাস্ক ভালোভাবে বসে না।
•  প্রয়োজন মতো হেয়ার মাস্ক নিয়ে চুলের মাঝামাঝি থেকে আগা পর্যন্ত ভালোভাবে লাগান। মাথার স্ক্যাল্পে লাগানোর প্রয়োজন নেই । 
•  মাস্ক পুরো চুলে সমানভাবে ছড়িয়ে দিতে চওড়া দাঁতের চিরুনি ব্যবহার করতে পারেন।
